How we do

Volatility-Driven Optimization

Thanks to the two measures above, the fund maintains a substantial long volatility exposure. Given that volatility is featured by "floor but no ceiling", we apply timing strategies based on volatility trends to optimize position sizing — effectively “buying low and selling high” on the volatility curve. This approach enhances the fund’s overall returns by capitalizing on fluctuations in market volatility.

Sources of Yield Enhancement

The strategy of selling put options (Sell Put) allows us to acquire assets at a discounted price. Whether the options are exercised or not, this approach effectively reduces the holding cost. Nasdaq index options have numerous expiration dates and good liquidity.

Measures to Avoid “Missing the Rally”

Selling Puts may result in all contracts being “skipped” during a sustained upward market, causing the fund’s returns to consist solely of accumulated option premiums, which may not keep pace with the continuous surge in index returns. To prevent missing out, additional long OTM (out-of-the-money) call options are purchased to hedge against this possibility.

Protection and "Antifragility" During U.S. Stock Market Crashes

While we are optimistic about the long-term value growth driven by technology, we know that U.S. equities have experienced multiple sharp downturns. To prevent significant drawdowns, we purchase an excess amount of long-dated OTM put options as protection against market crashes. Due to the oversized protection, the fund may even generate inverse gains during extreme market declines.
